First off, I disagree with our frigid friend (PP), when I bought my bike I asked about voiding the warranty. They said : use all suzi parts, right down to the suzi motor oil (keep records/reciepts)and document everything you do and you will not void the warranty. Of course, I'd check with your local dealer (the one you'd go to for warranty work).
Secondly, my answers (and they may not be the right ones) (I just rolled 5800 miles, and I've done about 3 services and 4 oil changes) to your questions are:
1- On top of the head cover, there is a bracket (engine mount) that has to come off. Even afetr it is off, you'll find yourself wishing for alot more room, but NO, the engine does not have to come out of the frame.
2- Yeah, other than that one (I'll get to him later) all the rest come out. My bike is put together right now, but I have a box with holes punched in the top to hold all the screws (great technique so you don't get them mixed up- they are different sizes) in their relative positions, and I count 13.
3- I use a crows foot. I suppose that if I could do math, I'd be able to tell you which way that affects the spec, but I can't so I just set the thing in the middle of the range. And no, I don't loosen them first, although that's probably the best way to do it (my bike has never leaked, so I try not to give it the chance).
4- When you pull the head cover, the rockers come with it (near as I can tell, that's what the mysterious "don't take this bolt out" bolt does- holds it all together. Cam will stay right on top of the cylinder like it is supposed to. Make sure you have some gasket material (I used Hondabond on the recommendation of my dealer) and some assembly lube (moly-paste) ready for when you put it back together.
5- See the second half to my answer to number 3. Of course, if you should ever need warranty work, I'd quote them verse and book from the manual and swear on your mothers eyes that you followed the directions to a T (unless, of course, you are worried about Mom's eyesight!!!!!)

The first go-round is a little scary ("Holy Sh-t! Wsa that supposed to come off?!?!?!?!), but after you're done you'll laugh at the thought you ever doubted your wrenching skills. According to the service Mgr at my dealer, the most critical thing at 600 miles is the valve adjustment. Get that right and the rest is cake!
